Glyphtick Privacy Policy

Glyphtick is a clock face app for the Nothing Phone 3 and Nothing Phone 4a Pro. This policy explains how your information is handled.

Data Collection

Glyphtick has no user accounts and uses no analytics or tracking of any kind. It does not collect information that personally identifies you. The only information that ever leaves your device is your approximate location when you use weather features — see Location below.

Location

If you grant location permission, Glyphtick uses your device's approximate (coarse) location for one purpose only: to fetch current weather conditions for the Glyph weather overlay. Your approximate coordinates are sent to Glyphtick's weather service — a small relay hosted on Cloudflare — which rounds them, requests the weather from OpenWeather (openweathermap.org), and briefly caches the result. Glyphtick does not store your location or associate it with you or any identifier. OpenWeather's privacy policy governs the data it receives. Glyphtick may refresh weather in the background so the overlay is current when it appears; this uses the same approximate location and the same relay. If you do not grant location permission, weather overlays are unavailable and no location data is used.

For users in the European Economic Area: the legal basis for processing your approximate location is your explicit consent, given when you allow location access. OpenWeather acts as an independent data controller for the weather requests it receives, under its own terms.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. Glyphtick does not receive or store your payment information. Google's privacy policy governs any data collected during the purchase process.

Permissions

Glyphtick requests the following permissions:

Nothing Glyph Matrix — to display clock faces on your device's Glyph Matrix. Location (approximate, including background) — to fetch weather for the Glyph weather overlay, including refreshing it while your screen is off. Location is optional; the app works fully without it.

Third-Party Services

Glyphtick uses OpenWeather for weather data, accessed through Glyphtick's own relay hosted on Cloudflare. No analytics platforms, advertising networks, or cross-app tracking are used.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a revised date.
